The Verbal Defense and Influence program trains participants to:

  • Identify self and limitations
  • Maintain Safety for self and others
  • Manage verbal abuse / redirect behavior
  • Generate voluntary compliance, cooperation, collaboration
  • De-escalate physical confrontation
  • Debrief the subject to prevent future incidents

This course goes far beyond the average communication class! Don’t miss the opportunity to learn effective communication skills that will improve relationships with your spouse, kids and co-workers!

Home Call Safety – This course was designed specifically for our members who conduct home calls as a requirement of their job. Conducting home calls in many of the communities in Riverside County can be challenging and even dangerous. This course covers basic safety precautions including preparation, tools/equipment, recognizing unsafe environments and planning a strategic exit.

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team – Based on Patrick Lencioni’s New York Times best-seller, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team addresses the five obstacles that prevent even the best teams from succeeding. This course offers a powerful model and actionable steps that can be used to overcome common hurdles and build a cohesive, effective team.

Understanding and Accepting Leadership – This course explores the theory, principles and practices of leadership.  Participants will increase their understanding of the importance of leadership roles at all levels of an organization and how they can make a difference by accepting leadership opportunities.

The Dynamics of Followership – This course will define followership as well as explore how great followers create great leaders.

  • June 2014 (Date and time to be announced)  Cost: Free

Managing Change – This course will explore the difference between change and transition and will explore the three phases of transition as identified by author William Bridges.  Participants in this course will also explore how people are the key to successful organizational change.

  • July 2014 (Date and time to be announced)  Cost: Free

Conflict Management – Conflict in any organization can create a barrier to recognizing desired results. This course will provide participants with the tools necessary to move from conflict avoidance to constructive conflict.
